good friday.

there are many. many reasons that i love our church.

we were married there. our littles were baptized there. the memories are long and plentiful. good and bad. happy and sad.

but easter has to be one of the best times at our church. and tonight was no exception. our choir sang the oratorio Les sept paroles du Christ ("The Seven Last Words of Christ", 1867 by Théodore Dubois tonight. it was spectacular and moving. and a beautiful ending to the day.

i wish i had a video to post. it was that good. so. although you can't hear it. maybe you can imagine the beautiful music in a darkened sanctuary on a solemn beautiful spring evening.
